The

Concept

Every surgeon has a shoulder story. A case that humbled them. A decision that kept them up at night. A complication that quietly reshaped how they operate. The shoulder, for all its elegance, has a way of doing that — of reminding even the most experienced hands that mastery is a moving target.

Season VI of the Master Case Series is built around that honesty. Not around textbook algorithms or polished outcomes, but around the real, messy, nuanced world of shoulder surgery as it actually happens. The cases here will not be selected because they went well. They will be selected because they made us think harder, question our assumptions, and ultimately become better surgeons.

This is not a conference. It is a conversation — one where a difficult case carries more weight than a keynote, where disagreement in the room is a sign that something important is being discussed, and where every attendee leaves not just informed, but genuinely challenged.

Amite Pankaj Aggarwal

is an internationally renowned Orthopaedic surgeon. He has over 20 years of experience in Orthopaedics and joint replacement surgery. He has performed over 5000 joint replacement surgeries including complex deformities and revision surgeries. He has extensive experience in sports related arthroscopic surgeries of knee and shoulder. He has a rich experience of using bulk allografts in complex revision cases. One of the youngest surgeons in the country to become a professor of Orthopedics’ and a winner of many national and international fellowships and awards, he is a sought-after faculty for conferences, CMEs and courses on arthroplasty and arthroscopy.

Dr.

Raju Easwaran

is an expert Orthopaedics specialist currently associated with the Max Hospital, Shalimar Bagh. Passionate about joint preservation, he has enabled many injured athletes get back to their sport. He excels in Arthroscopic Surgeries of the knee, shoulder and hip. Specifically, w.r.t the shoulder joint, Dr Raju has a fellowship from the Royal Liverpool University & Broadgreen Hospitals in the northwest of UK, a large referral centre for shoulder diseases. He has also trained with Mr Peter Campbell at the St John of God Hospital at Perth, Australia which again is a very high-volume centre for shoulder surgeries. Dr Raju has also trained under Dr Phillipe Valenti at the Clinique Jouvenet in Paris who is an international authority and a designer surgeon of shoulder replacement implants.

Shekhar Srivastav

heads the Department of Orthopedics at Parmanand Special Surgery Hospital, Delhi. With over 20 years of experience, he specialises in Robotic Joint replacement & Arthroscopic Surgeries of Knee & Shoulder Joints. He is one best robotic knee replacement surgeon in North India. Trained at some of the best centres in India and abroad, he has performed thousands of Knee Replacement (Primary, Revision & Unicondylar replacement) & Arthroscopic Surgeries (ACL, Meniscus, Cartilage surgeries). For the shoulder joint, he’s an expert in performing Shoulder Arthroscopies (Bankart repair, Rotator Cuff Repair) & Shoulder replacement Surgeries (Total & Reverse Shoulder Replacements).

Dr.

Ankit Varshney

is a young Orthopaedic surgeon currently associated with Parmanand Special Surgery Hospital, Delhi. He has already made a name for himself in the field of Sports Medicine. He has successfully treated many renowned sportspersons including cricketers, wrestlers, boxers, athletes, shuttlers, and cyclists. A passionate sport orthopaedic and arthroscopy surgeon, he is known for his precision in diagnosing sports injuries and shoulder ailments and treating them using minimally invasive arthroscopic techniques to not just minimise recovery time but also ensure a speedy return to sport. His areas of expertise include Advanced Arthroscopy of all joints, Sports and Regenerative Medicine, Joint Preservation – Osteotomies, Knee – Ligament, Cartilage and Meniscus surgery and Management of Shoulder problems.
